The British Museum Ltd produced a series of casts, this was one of them. The ear is cast in a resin and is an exact copy of the original statue ( 25cmx17cmx12cm).
The cast is in good condition, a little dirty ... i think it's best not to clean it.

Is this the post-renaissance equivalent of the mediaeval racket in "holy foreskins" and such multiple relics for the gullible? He was an ancient fellow-countryman of mine, of course.]
