Internet problems - slow, drops out " Can't reach this page "

It seems the only way to get help from the ISP is to contact them on line and follow a lengthy menu whereupon the connection drops out before I finish. No telephone number to speak to a person.

Have they really thought this through ?

If search for something like “Phone number for problems with X” you can strike lucky if a helpful person has managed to track one down. If you’re a Twitter user, posting using their hashtag can get quick results. Here’s BT’s for instance

Thanks. Managed to have on-line chat with a very helpful BT person who has arranged to send an engineer. NB, to forestall comments from people who don't like BT, this is the first problem in 20 years lasting more than 20 minutes :-)
