As someone once said, "The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago, the second best time is now."
This Sunday, as National Tree walk draws to a close, come to Railway Fields where we will be not only planting trees but giving baby trees away, telling stories about trees, learning about trees, sitting quietly with the trees and drinking tea, tree dressing, making tree themed lanterns out of willow and, as the sun sets, celebrating the trees with songs and poems on a dark walk with our lanterns to light our way.
We start at 10.30 and will continue up to 5.30 when we shut the gates for the night. The full schedule with details of the events can be found here
All events are free and open to all (although some may not be suitable for younger children).
Come and hug a tree with us at Railway Fields on Sunday!
Directions to Railway Fields can be found here
Railway Fields is also open to the public on Saturday 30th from 10-2
