Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Christmas Tree appeal

Every year the Met runs a campaign to give children, who may not otherwise get one, a Christmas present. It's just launched for this year and Haringey Police have a whopping 600+ local children on their list. The idea is very simple - interested people are allocated a child (told only age and gender and given a reference number), they then buy a present and deliver it unwrapped to the borough's police station in Tottenham marked with that reference number and the police will wrap and deliver to schools.

Referrals come from the safeguarding staff at Haringey's schools and children can be referred for any number of reasons: loss of a parent or other bereavement, illness, parental divorce - basically children who have had a very tough year.

The link to be allocated a child or to read more information/FAQs is here:  https://www.met.police.uk/christmastree.   The deadline is 7th December.

Please note you will be prompted to input the location of the relevant drop off point for gifts. For Haringey this is only Tottenham Police Station and the address is: 398 High Road, N17 9JA. Please input this.

It is also absolutely fine to have a present delivered online if you are unable to get to Tottenham Police Station - but please ensure any gifts are addressed to Insp. Jonathan Waterfield and include the relevant child reference number next to his name to avoid confusion.
