Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

My wife went there today and heard the news. Everything 30% off, the store closes tomorrow (Sunday). Sad news, I think.

I'd love a really good card, wrapping paper and arty gift shop then I would be making no more trips to treehouse in crouch end (though i love that couple!) and spending all my money on the strip!! Whatever it is I hope it's independently run, mind if the arena sainsburys is shutting in 2020 for housing development we could end up with a sainsburys local. In which case I'd prefer a branch of topshop please!
Maybe Iceland could buy it and extend?

We've got the most votes so far!! wouldn't it be great, no more treking to Oxford Circus, mind you the bank balance wouldn't like it!

I'm really sorry to hear this. Their fresh bread was amazing and they were always really friendly. A much friendlier alternative to Yasar Halim's.

True, we liked the bread at Arista, even though we mostly bake our own. But it was very enjoyable from time to time.
Just before they closed, I managed to have a short chat with the young fellow working there. He is a grandson of the lady owning the store. The main reason was not enough revenue and age.
He mentioned the most likely scenario is to have yet another supermarket similar to this one, or a restaurant.
If I were to choose a new idea is a community centric place, for instance a cafe-artisan bakery, promoting healthy eating, with bread baking classes etc. If only I had money to make such thing...
Ahh, dreamer.

Did this used to be Fairline?
