Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

On the way to the post office this afternoon I almost got bowled over twice by cyclists mounting the footpath to cycle "offroad" on Grand Parade. They seemed totally unbothered by it, but I'm fairly sure it's illegal to ride on the footpath. Can anyone enlighten me?

Currently travelling home from somewhere there seems to be peaceful coexistence between people and bikes, Oxford. In the centre there is no real distinction between pavement and footpath as there is no need - no cars
A few months ago I had a run in with a moped that mounted the pavement outside Barclays and drove several meters down the pavement to pull up right outside a shop. Now that's definitely not on...

ho ho, any mention of a cyclist always causes an outcry

the last time I was knocked off my bike was 2years ago by a pedestrian running out in front of me in green lanes

2weeks ago, the cyclist immediately infront of me was knocked off his bike by a pedestrian running out infront of him in the city

i rest my case

But saying that, as I have said on here before- I always jump lights if there are no cars, no pedestrians and of course no police to fine me. But cycling on pavements is wrong- it frightens pedestrians even if it is done carefully, so shouldnt be done

And people without lights or lights they must have got from poundland so next to useless, really upsets me, if a driver doesnt see them and kills them, that poor driver has to live with their stupidity- so i usually yell at the the cyclists as I go past- thankfully the majority do
