Maybe it's time to start addressing that William hill HQ sits on station road, rented by Haringey council and start questioning the relationship of the two. https://www.youtube.com/watch…tag:harringayonline.com,2016-04-27:844301:Comment:8688912016-04-27T18:37:26.211ZMR Ghttps://harringayonline.com/profile/MRG

I think I remember David Lammy MP on a show last year talking about how there were too many betting shops in Tottenham. if you get in contact with him, he might be able to help on the grounds that these shops are as in section (a) a source of crime and disorder. you only have to go to Turnpike Lane end of Wood Green mid afternoons and see outside these shops rows and the occasional fight.

It may help you if I provided you with the objectives, this may assist you in making another representation that was more tailored to the application and the area in general? The three objectives that can be used to make representation under the Gambling Act 2005, are:

(a) preventing gambling from being a source of crime or disorder, being associated with crime or disorder or being used to support crime,

(b) ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way, and

(c) protecting children and other vulnerable persons from being harmed or exploited by gambling.

There are also a number of factors that the Authority is not permitted to take into consideration these are:

Section 72 Consideration of application: demand

In determining whether to grant an operating licence the Commission may not have regard to—

(a) the area in Great Britain within which it is proposed to provide facilities, or

(b) the expected demand for facilities which it is proposed to provide.

The applicant is required to consider the makeup of the area and any issues occurring in the area and say how they are going to mitigate against these matters.
You are correct.
You are correct. Residents of Monaco benefit directly from gambling income. They don't have to pay income tax. Conversely, residents of Wood Green pay the price of living in a gambling clusterfuck. We live next to a horrible high street bereft of independent shops because the rents are kept artificially high by these large chain gambling dens and their cohorts,

2. Vulnerable people in our community are stripped their money.

3. An underground economy supported by the betting shops makes the high road unpleasant, perhaps unsafe at night.

4. The gambling dens are hubs of antisocial behaviour.
Not exactly Monte Carlo is ittag:harringayonline.com,2016-04-27:844301:Comment:8687772016-04-27T10:58:03.400ZJust another localhttps://harringayonline.com/profile/Justanotherlocal
