Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

We have noticed that there is nightly trading in the passage between Umfreville and Burgoyne road, they are a small team that have become a problem over the past few months. We have called the met out once and they said they would look into it but nothing has changed - I believe that the passage is being used, as trading is frowned upon on grand parade by the local Turkish community. Has anyone else noticed a problem further down the ladder, wondering if the passage group could get involved.

I've noticed this too although the boys largely keep to themselves and I've never felt in danger. It has been going on for years (at least since we moved in, over 5 years ago) so maybe the police have an understanding with them?

Do you have any solid evidence with regard 'drug dealing' or are you simply projecting your predudice/paranoia onto the scene ? You haven't mentioned what kind of 'drugs' for instance. Is it heroin or poppers ?

Yes I've seen one team member flashing huge wads of cash on burgoyne

Does anyone know what they're selling and have any indicative prices? I never get offered drugs locally. My daughter does, my friends do. There's obviously something wrong with me and when conversations go from house prices to local drug prices I just despair as I have no idea.

Try dropping a line to SNT http://content.met.police.uk/Team/Haringey/Harringay - every few months they ask residents about policing priorities. If something is happening which is no longer below your neighbourhood's radar and is becoming a nuisance, you should ask for support from local police. I find SNT pretty responsive. Representatives from the police also attend LCSP meetings if you want to speak directly to officers http://www.harringayonline.com/forum/topics/ladder-community-safety...
I can also see from their page they have a street briefing on 4th March at 1pm http://content.met.police.uk/Event/Street-briefing/1400035496907/12...
