it went ages ago I'm afraid As one who helped put the cherry tree in its pretty sad. Id say the bulk of the trunk would be taken for firewood?
As far as I and my daughter remember the cherry tree was still there on Friday afternoon when walking back from school, so this happened over the weekend I think?!
That big trunk is there since before Christmas I think, the rest of it I`ve seen it on Falkland road by the post box.
Not even a pair of dirty pants is safe in this bloody neighbourhood.
Some plants have been taken from the new tree pits on Stanhope Gardens too. Unbelievable!
Will the council replant, or do we need to do something as a community?
