Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Has anyone lost a cat near Pemberton Road? Found wandering in the street late at night. She looks pretty young and she is very friendly. Will take her to the vet tomorrow morning to see if microchipped.

Aww how sweet! Well done for looking after her, keep us updated.

I live on Pemberton and don't recognise this cat. I will ask around.
I put her back out this morning as I am at work all day...but left her in my back garden with a paper collar and my number on it. If she has found her way home, hopefully I will get a call...
She is with back with me now. I have a scanner and she is chipped but not registered. I have knocked on all the neighbours doors, but nobody knows her. I will get in touch with the vet and put flyers around. If anyone sees a flyer with a similar looking cat please let me know.
Ah shame. Imagine being chipped and not registered
Yes always check microchip has been registered. My vet did the same with one of my cats. They forgot to register the microchip. Wasn't until madam disappeared for a couple of days that we found out after calling the company to report her lost. Finally got this sorted but agree with Anka always check.
Just an update on this. The owner has been found. It was someone a few houses down the road. The cat was chipped in France but not registered in the UK...i guess they will do it now.

I think this cat has been seen again on the ladder looking lost as Dawn took this photo below in a reply on a post about another cat.

Antonella, did you get a chance to give the owner cat care advice before, you're an expert on all the usual stuff (e.g. rescue places recommend that cats need a catflap - for access to the back garden and they need catflap access to get back inside their home. They advise locking the catflap at night so that cats are safe inside at night as it reduces the risk of them getting lost or injured. Plus it's not safe for a cat to be out the front due to danger of the road).

Also it's worth asking the owner if they have now given the microchip company their contact details.

She is regularly on the street at night and whenever I see her I put her through the back garden, so at least she is safe.
I think the owner is often out as whenever I ring their bell she is nothere. The owner lives in a bedsit in Pemberton road. I will try to speak to her again...
Update on this. The owners of this cat moved out on Sunday and have taken the cat with them. Their flatmate also moved out yesterday and left his pretty bengol cat behind, as he could not take it back to Romania with him. I have taken this cat in until I can find a suitable owner.

Poor cat. It's hard for a cat left behind when an owner moves out. (Three of our rescue cats used to belong to neighbours on the ladder who each moved away leaving their cats behind).

You're a good neighbour - sometimes in these situations neighbours don't realise or don't help when a neighbouring cat becomes homeless. You're a star as always for helping the cat! Fingers crossed that a good home for life is found.
