Friendly Houseshare Seeks New Tenant
We're looking for a warm and friendly person to join our lovely houseshare and make it a place to call home. The house is a Victorian Terrace, with period fireplaces, a comfy shared lounge, and large kitchen that opens onto the garden. The garden is a perfect sun trap!
We're 12-15mins from both Seven Sisters and Turnpike Lane tubes and close to Green Lanes & Wood Green, with their fine selection of shops, pubs, restaurants swimming pool, parks, transport etc. It's a great area to live in!
The room is furnished (bed, wardrobe, drawers, shelves, desk). It's big enough for a double bed although currently has a single. You'll be sharing the bathroom, which is spacious and light, with a (great) shower and bath. It's shared between 3 as one of the rooms is ensuite. There's also a downstairs loo.
We're a busy and friendly household, calm when at home and plenty going on in our lives, and always up for a chat in the kitchen, or a pint locally. We're looking for someone who also has their own life, but is keen to make the house their home. We're good at keeping the place clean, tidy and cosy. Two of us have 9-5 jobs (mathematician and citizen's advice bureau), the other is a music teacher / musician. We'd slightly prefer another freelancer so that our schedules mesh neatly, but we're really open! Europeans, Internationals, everyone welcome!
We don't have a TV in the lounge - that seems to be a deal-breaker either way!
The musician (who is also the landlord) currently lives in the house, but is moving out in February, so there will be a second room becoming available then, and no landlord on site (she'll still travel to fix things when asked!).

My name's Matt, I'm currently working as a freelance copyeditor and I'm living on Cavendish Road on Harringay Ladder right now, but I need to move out on 4th Feb at the latest. I'm European, the British variety (but trying hard to become Irish before my Europeanness lapses). What else about me? I cycle, I own loads of books, and I'm fairly political, having joined the Labour Party just over a year ago and got very involved in local left politics. I've been living in this part of North London for over 10 years, and I wouldn't want to move anywhere else as this is my home now.
If you think I sound like someone you might want to live with, please let me know when I can come and have a look at the room!

Hi Matt,
Just thought I'd make contact. I have two rooms available in my house.
Both are large furnished rooms in my house next to Downhill's Park in N17.
The house is located between Tottenham Hale, Seven Sisters and Turnpike Lane tube stations.
There are currently two other tenants (mature professionals) living in the house and everyone shares the kitchen / dining room, sitting room & garden, plus bathroom and separate shower room.
Rent for the smaller room is £595 and the larger is £600 inclusive of all bills and is available now..
