Front of House Vacancy at Local Bar/Cafe

The Step (www.thestep.co.uk) is a thriving bar & cafe at the heart of the local community in Bowes Park, north London. We are looking for a talented and experienced person to join our front of house team.

We serve freshly prepared, home-cooked and quintessentially British food - open for brunch, lunch and dinner. Our venue is very busy so the role requires a focused and adaptable individual who can liaise with the kitchen, serve food to tables and prepare a variety of hot and cold drinks to high standards.

The Step has a reputation for friendliness and excellent service so we are looking for a new team member who can create a mature and welcoming environment with a commitment to look after our customers.

Applicants must have 2+ years experience in a similar role. Barista experience is desirable but what is essential is a strong work ethic and sense of urgency with the ability to work collaboratively within our small happy team.

The role is offered on a part-time basis between 18-25 hours per week with changing evening and weekend shifts. Hourly rate is dependent on experience + other benefits. Applicants must live in the local area.
