Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I need to have a couple of bespoke fitted wardrobes done to my specifications by a good, reliable carpenter.

I'm looking for a quality job, don't mind spending a bit.

Can anyone recommend one? If you can also attach pics of something similar they've done for you to show me, that'd be great.

Thanks a lot!

Try Thorsen joinery. I never had anything done as he was wanting so do things really thoroughly and that's not what I needed. But his website shows you his work and I would say he is top quality. Resonananle mybe a tad more exspensive but you paying for the quality

Sent him a text, thank you :)

He's fully booked until mid-January :(

Hi Luca, I cannot recommend Peter Murphy highly enough. Last year he built us some wardrobes & shelves, he is highly skilled at his job, pleasant, puntucal & extremely tidy whilist carrying out the work. We were very pleased with the work he carried out for us he might have a bit of a wait list but he definitely is worth the wait. His contact details are as follows: petemurphy@hotmail.com or Tel 07967587993.

Take care Patricia

Texted Peter too, thank you :)

Check out my friend Martin's work, he is Tottenham based and his work is beautiful.

Thank you Katie, I'll contact Martin as well for sure :)

No problem, his number is 07971 910334.

I messaged him on facebook, should I text him instead?

Do both to be sure! Tell him Katie passed on his number :)

If you are still looking contact Max Bruno. He is a classical cabinet maker. He's done a range of bespoke work for high level clients including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Harrods and Hatton Garden jewellers. He also does smaller domestic jobs and daily rate is reasonable. He is good with creative design too. He can show you his portfolio. 07710 154461. Regards Helen

I hate to write negative reviews but I really feel I have to warn people to not use Max Bruno under any circumstances for any joinery work. I made this mistake this summer based on reviews on this site. I paid him thousands of pounds to make a wardrobe, alcove cabinets shelves etc, with 3.5 months lead time. When it came to installation, most of the items had not even been started yet and when he did rarely turn up to actually do some some work, it was unbelievably shoddy, and even dangerous (for example a shelf simply hammered into the wall with tiny brackets and masonry nails directly above my son's cot). Net result we had to rip the entire lot out and get a competent joiner to redo everything from scratch (whose details I am happy to pass on if anyone wants them). Needless to say I never saw any of the money back or any word of explanation or apology from Max Bruno.
