Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Dismayed to hear that Ed Santry, LBH's new Nature Conservation Officer, has resigned after only a year.

Having been without one since the departure of Ian Holt in 2015, Haringey can ill afford to lose another so quickly, especially one like Mr Santry who has such energy, a will to get things done and to involve local residents.

With biodiversity in such terminal danger, this post is as vital as any in the Council, and needs unequivocal and unselective support from members, officers and residents.

Let's hope that the next one (soon, I hope) can stay long enough to implement a long overdue update to the Biodiversity Action Plan.

Yes, great shame Ed is leaving [for Brighton]. Lots of energy, nice guy, lots of ideas. Presumably our hard working Chief Tree officer Alex Fraser will have to double up as Conservation officer again. There was a long gap between Ian Holt leaving and Ed arriving, let's hope it's a shorter gap this time.
