Haringey WW1 Conscientious Objectors

Really interesting event yesterday,  Sunday which doubled  as fundraiser  for Tottenham Labour Party . Apparently  Haringey, Hackney ,Islington had the highest numbers of COs in the country at that time. Speaker focused on the legal battles  faced by COs , local anti war protests and covered   details of some who lived in our Harringay ward, mainly on the Ladder.

The Haringey First  World war Peace Forum is planning  a plaque for space outside the  Salisbury  where the North London Herald League met and protested.
