Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Having seen the notice about filming, this might be timely.  Apologies if this is already known about, but I was unware, until a couple of days ago, that that Haringey council webite has a pdf file on the history of the passage: the first page shows a map from 1880, before the ladder was built, showing the site of Harringay House. Having been brought up only 5 minutes walk from the station, I was also interested to see that the map does not show Harringay station, although Hornsey is marked, a clue how the area developed over time.

I did a crude overlay of Google Maps over British Land map shown on the pdf back in 2008. There are various other articles locating the current position of the outbuildings, that I can dig up and link to if people are interested. 

Harringay Station wasn't opened till 1885, after this map was published. I wrote many Harringay history articles on Wikipedia (see the links box on the right of the main Harringay page), including one on history of the station (in this case on the Wikipedia article  of the station).
