The Tottenham Refugee Alliance is issuing a call for volunteers to join us!
Meet with us on 26 March 2019 at Holy Trinity Church Hall, Stapleton Hall Road, N4 from 7.30 pm to find out more. See here for details: https://tottenhamrefugees.org.uk/wp/2019/02/17/call-for-volunteers/
We are a group of local people who have formed a community sponsorship group to fundraise to provide sanctuary to a Syrian refugee family in Harringay. When the family arrives from the refugee camp, they will need interpreters, clothing, toys, furniture, guides, support, friendship - see here for more: https://tottenhamrefugees.org.uk/wp/how-to-volunteer/
Register your interest with email@example.com
If you can't volunteer, you can donate! http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fund/tottenhamrefugeealliance
Our wonderful volunteers give their time for free so all donations go directly for the benefit of the family.
It takes a community to welcome a refugee family - be part of something very special.
That is a false argument. Do you go into a British Heart Foundation charity shop and ask why they aren’t raising money for another disease? Do you ask people shaking a tin for the RSPB why they aren’t doing the same for other animals?
That is a good point. Thanks.
Haven't you wonder why homeless people have substance abuse could it be that they are trying to blot out post traumatic stress disorders?
