Anyone know of any local and good services?? I think there's one in Muswell Hill but wanted to ask here first.

There was one in Muswell Hill but if it's the one I'm thinking of, it closed a couple of years ago. So I went here here: https://stewartsjewellers.co.uk/jewellery-repairs and they were really excellent. It's a bit of a schlep but very walkable from Totteridge and Whetstone tube.

Thank you very much!

Hi, I just wanted you and others to know I went to Stewart's (and found a quick route ie tube to Arnos Grove, then 251 to the Griffin at the junction with Whetstone High Road) to have several items fixed and I now have them all back. It wasn't cheap but included expert work from them including restringing of two necklaces. It feels like having a new jewellery collection. So thanks for the advice and I can certainly recommend them.

There was someone in Crouch End as well - don't recall her name but someone at Hornsey Vale Community Centre might know as she has had stalls there at events held in the past.

I think there is a place in the shopping area as you head towards Wood Green Library. Just on the left as you enter from Green Lanes.

Not sure where you mean, John...do you mean the tiny shop as you enter the library area, where a man has mended watches for 35 years?

Some time since I've been there but probably yes. Last time I went there I bought some silver wire which makes me think he does jewellery.
