Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This week has been a hectic week for BGORUG, with new developments occurring daily, sometimes more frequently. Information about the reduced weekend service, starting tomorrow (Saturday) has been trickling out from TfL. Today, it was learned (not from TfL) that rail replacement buses    Routes J (Highgate Road - Seven Sisters via Finsbury Park) and Route T (Barking – Walthamstow Central via Harrow Green) will also be running every half hour every weekend until Sunday 23rd December when the service becomes full daily rail replacement services until at least 1st January (Except 25/26th December), see attachments for more information.

The six diesel trains come off sublease on 31st January and return to West Midland Trains, so the full daily replacement bus service will continue until Arrival Rail London (ARL) has enough new trains to run the rail service. At the moment, ARL has yet to take delivery of a single new train. The bus services will likely continue into February.

BGORUG has managed to obtain an emergency meeting with TfL’s London Overground Director, Jonathan Fox and Planning Chief, Geoff Hobbs, on Monday. Any new information will be passed on as soon as possible.

Whatever happened to the electrification of the line? Are we ever going to get new trains?
