Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This photo was just a snap and shoot with an iPhone. It appears here as it came out of the phone. Uploaded to HoL direct from the phone with no editing whatsoever. Amazing colours.

This is what the X100S made of it - it was astonishing!

I see from your EXIF data that yours was taken at 21.16. Mine was 20:51. That probably accounts for the difference in brightness.

Nice pics.

I noticed it too - it was very strange & beautiful but I didn't think to take any pictures.

Wonder if this could this be a possible explaination for it?

"Why does dust affect the colour of the sky?

When there are dust particles in the air, these obstruct the path of incoming sunlight. Light which is shorter in wavelength, like blue and violet, are unable to penetrate through the atmosphere, so are scattered away.

But light of longer wavelengths, including yellow, orange and red light, is still able to get through – thus giving the warm tint"

Another iPhone contribution, looking up Allison Road, 30 seconds later I got absolutely soaked, Green Lanes turned into a river!

Nice pic. Love the orange reflections on the cars.
