Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

There is increasing concern over the disappearance of Reneisha Brown, 14,  who went missing from her home in Wood Green on Saturday 1st November.

Reneisha was last seen leaving her home in Wood Green, north London, at 9am on Saturday (Nov 1) to go to the gym at Edmonton Green Leisure centre which she regularly attended.

Reneisha is described as a young black woman, 5' 5" tall, of slim athletic build with an afro hairstyle pulled back in a pony tail and she often wears a blue or white head band.

When last seen, Reneisha was wearing a black tracksuit, white Nike air force trainers with a blue rain coat and a white leather bag with the words "Paul's boutique" written on it.

Inside the bag was a navy hooded top. She has an oyster card, but police believe she did not have her mobile phone with her when she left home.

She is streetwise and tends to travel locally around North London, predominantly Haringey, Wood Green, Tottenham and Edmonton.

When travelling to Edmonton Green she would usually travel on the route 102 bus.

Anyone who has seen Reneisha or who knows of her whereabouts is asked to call Wood Green CID on 101.

There's three ways to look at this:

1. She's left her home/carer by choice - and could be safe.

2. She's been influenced by others into thinking she's better off with them.

3. This 3rd option is one were she had no choice.

If it's one of the first 2 - Reneisha, if you or one of your friends is reading this I hope your safe. There are lots of people who can help you, who will listen. Maybe there is someone, a favourite teacher, an aunty or one of your friends mums you could talk to.

This is the digital age, teenagers with their knowledge, skills and intelligence of how to use their phone's, tablets, and social media sites are far better then most of us adults. In short they have it sussed. Someone who knows how Reneisha is could probably find a way to let her school, or friends know she's ok. Sometimes breaking a promise or sharing a secret is the right thing to do.
I agree, it's possible that she has left out of choice but I find it odd that she left her phone behind...hence no access to social media. Really hope that she is safe. I also question why some missing kids make the news and others don't.
oh how disturbing- not taking her mobile is a give away, cant imagine any youngster doing that - if she was going to run away, she would have taken her phone- so hope she is ok
She may have left her mobile behind as it can locate where she is. So from her perspective it was the smart thing to do.

So my hope is that her disappearance, was at least her choice.

My thoughts are with those who care about her and miss her.
Yes, of course.

Thankfully Reneisha has been found safe and well. More info at The Voice

Glad to hear that Liz, thanks.

Great news!
