I was looking for someone to fix a leak under my bath quickly as it had leaked to my ceiling below, and came across recommendations for Neil Protheroe, a Gas Safety engineer and plumber. 

It's really great when recommendations work! Neil has been a life saver. Not only wonderfully courteous,  interesting to talk to (stories from the ladder, know the area like the back of hand) and he wasted no time in repairing the leak. Hi All,

Just to second Smurfett's recommendation. Neil responded quickly and politely to an inquiry and came round within minutes to my flat on the Ladder. He quickly identified the problem and was able to offer a very reasonable price on the job. Highly recommended.

Thanks for this recommendation. After loads of unreliable plumbers over the years, we saw this post and gave Neil a go. Turned up on time and did a great job on a troublesome boiler. Nice bloke to boot.
