Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The following in HoL's mailbox today:

Are you free on Saturday 29th Feb at 1030am to show support for our new campaign group, the North London Aircraft Noise Campaign at Harringay & Stroud Green Library?

We are deeply concerned about an increase and concentration in flights mainly from Heathrow over Haringey and other parts of North London in the last few years. These often fly as early as 5am and late into the night - creating both air and noise pollution. It's set to increase, at least 25,000 more flights over London planned even before Heathrow's 3rd Runway plans. Heathrow and the government seem to be in a state of wilful denial over their impact on the environment in a Climate Crisis.

Our meeting will listen to residents' concerns, galvanise support for the group and ask for volunteers to arrange an area survey on the number of flight paths concentrated in our area with HACAN (whose chair John Stewart will be in attendance.)

It would be brilliant if you could attend to show your support for our concerns. Please spread the word.

Our email is: northlondonaircraftnoise@gmail.com and we are on Twitter @JustPlaneNews.  Flyer attached.

Please contact us if you're in attending  and follow us on twitter.

I could be wrong on this but I’m sure I saw that the 3rd runway would mean no planes over Haringey as there would be completely new flight paths.

This is relevant.

Aware that planes get stacked over West side of the Borough. When there are issues at Heathrow

I hear them loud and clear over the east side, though never before 6am.

Expect move staging zones. To reduce complaints. Use to see the in summer from hard court opposite bowling green. @ Finsbury Park
