Harringay online

Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

The Parking Office gets a lot of stick on here but I have to thank them for excellent service.

A couple of weeks ago they sent me a reminder that my Resident Permit would expire soon and explained that because the old system did not take correct account of vehicle emissions I would have, as a once off, to apply as a new applicant. I did so on line with scanned copies of V5 and proof of residency.

Today, four days after applying, I received an email with a printable new Resident's Permit and a hard copy is in the post.

I think that's pretty good:)

I have spent many hours over many days trying to get the website to work and am pulling my hair out as it is now getting short of time. I repeatedly put all the information in as required, I upload the scanned documents as required then press the relevant button and it just says either 'error' or 'not available'. I've tried it at all times of the night and day just incase the site is busy with no luck.

Anyone have any ideas how I can expedite this.

Maggie. I think I noticed that my scanned documents were too large. I resized them (in Paint ) to 1024 x 1480 bits and they went through ok then. Something like 800 x 600 would be safer.

Thanks I'll give it a try.

If resizing doesn't work I'll have a go at this too, thanks.

Hi John, I made sure that the docs were below the level of MB stated and it still won't work, after entering everything it just goes to an error message. This has been 5 days and many hours trying so I may have to go to Wood Green Library to sort it. Thanks anyway.

Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having made sure the copied documents were below 3.81 MB as stipulated and it still not working I then transferred them to Lightroom and converted them to KB and at last it worked!

Not everyone has access to photocopiers, the relevant software etc and if it wasn't for Harringay on Line I wouldn't have known that you can get it done at Wood Green/ Marcus Garvey Libraries as there is nothing obvious on Haringey website and I couldn't get through on the phone; but at last its done.
