Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Power cut in Kimberley Gardens last night at midnight. Rang and were told it was probably a blown fuse in substation and could be fixed within three hours. Power came back at 7.45 this morning. Nearly eight hours to mend a fuse? Will be clearing out the freezer this morning.

My wife went out to talk to workmen at about 3.00am who told her they had been unable to fix the problem at the sub-station and had to dig up the road. She phone UKPowernet to tell them their predictions were rubbish only to be met with indifference and dismissal. There is lots of good advice on how to use their website, but how one is supposed to do this if one doesn't have unlimited roaming on a smartphone, I don't understand. Things can only get worse once we leave the EU and there is no investment in infrastructure. There have already been dire warnings about the UK being unable to fulfill its future energy needs. I recommend people start browsing website for cheap petrol backup generators now.
