I have to admit, before Christams I was in the sewer at the front of the house for several hours clearing it out as it had blocked because the inception trap had clogged up (someing I could not fix but David did) and I came out traumatised - and I really use that word accurately. I was in pieces for the rest of the day, even going to bed at 8 and sleeping for 12 hours. I hated it! Dave on the other hand could care less. Unbelievable.

We put poison down (its in a contained area in our cellar, so nothing else can get to it), and so far no evidence of any visitors.

Fingers crossed, but this guy was incredible doing what he did, and for the time he took I think incredibly good value! Lets hope he has solved the problem, if so he has earned his money!
Suggesting cats over poison t…tag:harringayonline.com,2017-02-01:844301:Comment:9573272017-02-01T07:16:37.698ZFinsbury Park Rangerhttps://harringayonline.com/profile/FinsburyParkRanger
Suggesting cats over poison to protect the wildlife to deal with a rats nest between the wall is really stupid. Cats go on killing for years.

Cats aren't natural in the UK. Obviously likeplant extracts ( poison) they can be managed more safely, if people are aware of the risks

I tried poison but they gobbled it up and came back for more ( I think pushing little wheelbarrows ).

Going to buy a couple of traps this evening although they weren't very successful in the past.

Licensed poison will do it but make sure they have a way out and get yourself a jar of that amazing anti smell stuff, should one die between the wall. You'll find it on amazon. It works like a dream.

Despite claims to the contrary on the internet etc, only licensed pest controllers can get their hands on the good stuff. Course wire wool stuffed into holes and gaps can help. Check vents at ground level, as they are often cracked and broken.

Chalk is a good plan. Thanks.
I already have traps and they are working but possibly at a slower rate that the rats are breeding and replacing themselves dadly
