Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi there,

I eventually found 3 professionals who could/would revive our stair rail to its former french polished glory. Best price and availability was David Large. He did a beautiful job, highly recommend.

Care to share how much it cost? I would love to do the same but always assumed the cost would be prohibitive...

Ditto. Always assumed it was way beyond us, but am about to re-decorate so now would be the time.... if you don't mind giving a rough idea.

We had three stair rails to do, one touch up, one needed complete revival and another brand new which needed to be started from scratch so depends on the state of your rail and how many you have.  I would say finger in the air its probably £150-300 per rail, possibly with minimum spend for 1 day.  Ours took 2 days so not sure about that.  I got a free quote from David by emailing in photos and speaking on phone.  It took me ages to find someone to do this work for a reasonable price, in a reasonable timescale.

Many thanks. That's less than I thought, and very tempting. I'll have a go at sending him some photos of our horribly varnished ones...
