Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello,

It may be summer and more people are outside and away, but the local need during the COVID-19 pandemic continues. We are continuing to see around 40 visitors a week. Many of these represent larger families.

From the end Of July the Government advice changed so those who had been shielding can go out to shop etc. We know that many will not feel confident to do so. There are ongoing talks between the Council and different 'providers' how best to address this.

As some of our regular volunteers have returned to work or are away we have taken on a few more people to help us.

We continue to operate from the front of Transform House making use of the church hall to operate from, whilst the church services resume. Our stocks are good at present. However, our needs in the next two weeks are standard packets of cereal, but not cornflakes or porridge; tins of fish, but not tuna; tinned fruit; biscuits as well as cleaning and washing materials.

I am including a link to the Haringey Council page on food banks which includes a map of the location of food banks as well as other providers.

Many thanks for your continued support.
