Also, this dropped through my letterbox this afternoon

Oh cheers, we didn't get one of those .

It’s a bit pathetic Dyl.  The letter is dated 6th, arrives on 15th and then, seemingly, not to everyone.

I met someone from the council this morning who stopped me to ask if I'd received the letter; this was supposed to have gone out a week ago and to have been delivered to all houses in Warham by the contractor rather than the council. When I said I hadn't he was surprised and said he would get on to it immediately and seems to have done just that.

Yeah I'm still not sure how two way traffic will work on Warham Road to be honest.

It's about time they made this road two way. So much wasted space.

Parking should be on the pavement like in hermitage and vale road.

Finally the council gets something right .

That's silly, we need more cycle lanes.

It was two way with pavement parking when we first moved here in the eighties, as it was on other ladder streets.  It was such chaos that the one way system was introduced.  All it took was one lorry to cause gridlock.  Punch ups between drivers going nowhere were a fairly regular occurrence.

Another one here who remembers two way traffic. In an ideal world it should be possible - but not when you've got parking on both side and people in a hurry. Like Michael I remember standoffs as drivers refused to accommodate one another by moving back or to the side. One outside my house lasted for about 10 minutes.

I don't want any more pavement parking - pavements are for PEOPLE. Not cars. So its one way for me.
