Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi all you Harringay gardeners,

I was wondering if anyone has any hollyhock SEEDLINGS that hopefully will flower next summer? I teach  at a local school and am trying to get the garden going there for the nursery and reception classes and have planned in some hollyhocks but would love them to flower next year rather than the two year wait with the seeds I have now. Of course I'll plant those too but just thought someone might have a couple of spare seedlings around the place.

Other plants needed if anyone has any spare are: any herbs, sorrel (that I'll divide), thornless blackberries, black, red or white currants.

If you do, could you please reply here,

Thanks,

Sonya Prentice

Hello Sonya

Hollyhock seeds you sow now will probably flower next year if you can keep them in a frost-free place for the winter. In my garden they do anyway!

same here - if I can stop the slugs getting at them in spring...

Yes I have seeds. Your welcome to them.
