Brilliant photo and comments.    My older Brother and some mates  had a skiffle band roundabout that time,  practise sessions being held in the front room.  Our Mum was a very understanding lady. He had the tea chest bass.   The sound produced by such a set up was quite amazing.   I still love hearing the old standards of that time two of which mentioned above plus Worried Man,  Don't Rock Me Daddio,  Midnight Special,  Last Train to San Fernando,  amongst others.  Great stuff.
