A warm summer (sunday?) shower. - Plenty of open windows and the young girl standing leisurely around. The bunching of the pedestrians in the background suggests they have just alighted from a train from Seven Sisters at Palace Gates Station and are perhaps on their way to the Palace.

They have brollies so were expecting the shower. Interesting regarding state names. We always (50-64) said Wood Green for one and Palace Gates the other.

London Transport pinched the name Wood Green for its station in 1932. It's a shame that Wood Green wasn't renamed Palace Gates when that station closed, because it is far more accuarate than just the name Alexandra Palace, which still sounds wrong to me.

BTW in 2008, gurgle caught the same open window arrangement.
