I may have been there too, though not sure that my mum could have afforded 7/- each for tickets.  That was a lot of money in those days, more than our weekly 5/- rent.

We went most years and I was told I went first at age 5 so that would have been 1948 as above. BTW, that's a roughly £15 ticket at 2017 prices.
