The kerbline seems unusually high. Is it still like that today?

My earliest memories of CE are from the 1960s.. It was, even then, slightly more upmarket that Harringay.

Great picture, wish those lampposts where still in situ. On some Stroud Green roads the original posts are still around but with replaced lamps.

This is one photo from an album by a family who lived in Seymour Road at the very start of the 20th Century. I haven't been able to acquire the whole album but have bought the most local ones - a fascinating peep into Harringay life in 1903.

By the way, re the lamp posts - beware the effects of the old lenses - they tended to compress horizontally and expand vertically.
