Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Please change my view: Harringay itself is somewhat lacking facilities. We're new to the area, but as far as I know, on the ladder, gardens and environs there is no swimming pool, children's centre, library or sports centre. Is the area being short-changed?

(Don't get me wrong, really like it here, not a hater.)

It's actually an amazing sports centre. Indoor and outdoor sports, good gym, nice cafe, tennis courts indoor and outdoor...etc

I will certainly check it out

Dude, there is a company flogging flats at Hornsey station in Dubai and Hong Kong and they are talking about times under 30 minutes to get places like the west-end and UCL. The pull for Harringay, despite missing a tube station at the Salisbury, is that it has great connections for getting places and an amazing short cut road used by hundreds of thousands of vehicles a week going into Islington.

Hi I just wanted to say there is such a lot of activities/clubs/parks around the N8,N15,N17 area which you can easily travel too along with two leisure centres - Park Road and Tottenham Green.  Activities to suit everyone from babies to senior citizens.  I think we are very lucky and I am sure once you investigate with the help of all of the online community and local media you soon find whatever you need.  Enjoy !

I am so impressed that the pool at South Harringay is still there! I learned to swim in that 25 yard(?) pool in the 50s.

Woodlands Park Children's Centre is just next to the Gardens, and South Harringey Schooly has The Ladder stay and play once a week.

Plus there are loads of children's activities in the various cafes along Green Lanes.
