Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Join me and the rest of the Friends of Railway Fields for an informal winter walk at Railway Fields on Saturday January 25th at 11.30am - natural history with a dash of local history and folklore thrown in.

We will be having a stroll around Railway Fields doing some basic winter tree and flower identification, bird and squirrel spotting, talking about how Railway Fields was developed from a goods yard to a nature reserve and looking for remnants of its working past, and throwing in a bit of nature folklore for good measure.

If you've never visited before or if you're a regular visitor who'd like to know more about the site, join us for an informal walk at the cabin at 11.30am on January 25th. Unless it's actually blowing a gale, the walk will go ahead regardless of the weather so please dress warmly. We'll probably amble for about 45 minutes.

All ages welcome! If you have primary age children, we will be making sticky crowns or bracelets from 11am - 11.30 am onto which the children can stick leaves etc. they find on the walk and we'll do some hands on nature encounters where possible.

The walk is not just for children and there will be members of both Friends of Railway Fields and TCV on hand to answer any questions you might have about what you see as you trundle around the site.

Hope you can join us!

Here’s how to find Railway Fields if it’s your first time - the site is small, just follow the cobbled path from the gates to its end to find us.
