A New Scam?

Received a request to update information, purporting to come from the DVLA.

We have sent a couple of reminders recently and noticed that you still haven’t updated your account information.

Check to make sure your account information is up to date.

By keeping this information up to date, you'll have an easier time working with your account, logging in, and receiving account communications.

Our automated routine check has found some irregularities in your current profile which indicates that the information given is no longer accurate or up to date.

I don't think I have an account with the DVLA :-)

Anything which addresses you by your email address (often just the bit before the @) is almost certainly phishing or similar.

Check the e-mail address it came from, that will inevitably show it hasn't come from the supposed source. If is from @hotmail, btinternet, yahoo etc , it isn't from the major institution it seems.
