Basic knock through and making good.

Anyone recently had a knock through done from say middle ground floor/kitchen to rear living room? Just looking for ball park figure, not including any electrics/plumbing at this stage. at the very least removing one wall and installing a steel beam and making good. Also if you can recommend a surveyor to produce a specification. thanks
