Choral scholarships for young singers aged 16-30

The New Tottenham Singers was established in November 2010 with the purpose of making high level choral singing available to all. Our membership includes a diverse mixture of more experienced, musically literate choral singers alongside those who are accessing ensemble vocal music for the first time. The choir boasts an eclectic repertoire and performs in a variety of musical styles.

The New Tottenham Singers are proud to offer four Choral Scholarships each year to new choristers, in memory of former chorister John ‘Jojo’ Sagoe (1960-2013), to commemorate his life and pay tribute to his proud contribution towards the choir during his lifetime.

Scholarships are open to singers of any voice (soprano, alto, tenor or bass) between the ages of 16 and 30. The scholarships are offered for one season, September-July, and the three choir terms per season are roughly in line with local school terms, with breaks for holiday at Easter, Summer and Christmas. Up to four scholarships are available per season and existing scholars are welcome to reapply.

Shortlisted applicants will be asked to attend an audition and, if appropriate, be invited to a rehearsal with the choir before a scholarship offer is made.
