Find Out if you’re Eligible for a Free Flu Jab

Haringey Council has issued a press reslease  encouraging residents to protect themselves this winter by visiting their local pharmacy or GP to find out if they are eligible for the free flu jab.

The flu virus kills 11,000 people and hospitalises tens of thousands more in England in an average year. It’s easy  to pass the virus on without knowing. Even if you’re healthy, you can still get flu and spread it to the people you care for.

The flu can cause serious complications, particularly for high-risk groups, such as people aged 65 years and over and for those who have a long-term health condition.

Ask your pharmacist or GP if you’re eligible for the free flu vaccine.
