Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hello,

I am a student doing a master's in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents at Birkbeck University. One of my course requirements is to observe a baby and mother in the first year of the infant’s life.

The purpose of the observation is for me to get a better understanding of child development. I will observe as unobtrusively as is possible so that the mother/family can proceed to do what they need to as if I'm not there.

The requirements for the mother-infant observation are as follows.

  • The observation will take place for one hour each week, in the family home, usually on the same day and time, during ordinary working hours, throughout the first year of life. There will be planned holiday breaks such as Christmas, Easter, etc.
  • The observations will ideally begin any time from now to January 2021, when the baby is 7-10 days old.
  • Ideally, the family will be living in the same area throughout the first year after the birth of the baby.
  • For the parent to be flexible enough so that if the mother is planning to return to work within the first year, the observation will be able to continue with the mother and baby together, (although there may need to be a change of day and time of the observation at that point).

I work with children so am on the DBS update service, should anyone wish to check I can send a copy of my DBS. Alternatively / also if you wanted me to I could send you my employee’s details for a character reference.

If you meet the above criteria and would be interested, please contact me on olayadiezdelcorral@gmail.com or on 07954241195.

If you do not fit the above criteria but know someone who might do, it would be much appreciated if you could pass on this information.
