Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I am sure the person that agreed to Closing off Wood Green by resurfacing the Road the other side of Turnpike Lane, just before railway bridge. Ears was burning today

Tried to pick up brother from Holloway, to take to Clinic

Spent 20 minutes getting to start of Green Lanes. Turned off into Wightman road and found that was solid. Turned towards Turnpike lane that was closed off. Back to Duckets common and spent another 20 minutes to get across traffic lights opposite Road Works and another 20 minutes plus to get over the palace and back to Morrisons

Not forgetting the Buses that was Diverted via Station Road to go over the Palace road

Accept commercial vans trying to doing U - turns in Turnpike did not help

Seemed that everyone one in Borough was trying to go the same way

Would have thought that such a major road works would have been done on a Sunday

Much of this work could well have been brought forward and done during lockdown as construction was still allowed. It seems that they like to maximise disruption.

You have my sympathies, I was caught in this last Friday.  Had an appt (which I missed) and reached destination one hour and forty minutes after setting out.  It was crazy out there.

Can anyone tell me if Wightman Road is open now and everything okay?  I have to get to Crouch End today!

Hi Sylvia - I was trying to discover if roadworks were still on - the 41 bus route is shown as having no diversions but dont know how safe that information is! Kate

Can not understand how they come up with a plan to reduce the width of one of London's busiest Roads

Will also effect many traders

Especially with the high traffic flow through this area

Hi Kate

just tried and Turnpike Lane is still closed off, nightmare trip to Crouch End through Ally Pally.  41 buses still going through the palace too, good luck!

You poor thing - and thats very bad of TfL not showing delays - nor does Road Watch
