Ideas for premises for a new pub in Tottenham?
Hi, just throwing this out to get some ideas....
Does anyone know of any buildings for sale/with the lease due/that could be for sale that could be used as a pub and restaurant in the Bruce Grove, Seven Sisters, Stamford Hill area? Thinking of places that might already be pubs, or might have other uses/not be used at the moment (e.g. thinking of the ex-British Legion club that became the Earl Haig in Crouch Hill).

Banc are making a new bar out of the old toilet block by the West Green Road entrance to Downhills Park. Park View Cafe was was fashioned out of the Manor house loos. If you can live with a mainly underground venue and have the wherewithall to do the conversion, what about those old toilets on Bruce Grove?

Hi. Just how big do you want this place to be? I guess that for a pub it would need to be much bigger than for an intimate restaurant.
There are the old public conveniences north of Monument Way on the High Rd opposite Chances. The estate agents (ex Cookes) offices opposite Tottenham Green have been vacant for some months since they moved out.
Have you considered seeing the owner of the grade listed old Barclays Bank building on the corner if Broad Lane and High Rd at 7 Sisters? I believe the owner uses it as offices but it needs a facelift and frankly adds to the 'degeneration' of that area of the High rd which has no pubs to attract passing trade exiting/going to the tube. Nearest are further into Broad Lane or the Fountain on West Green.
There are also 2 empty shop units on the High rd north of Aldi in Bruce Grove close to Scotland Green. They have never been let after the new build flats were finished! Competition would be from the popular Beehive, Ship and 2 other pubs in Bruce Grove. The old Barclays Bank building (yes another one!) in Bruce Grove has been empty since that business gave up on our community last year,
There you go....hope that helps. No fast food or kebab shops please. MY OPINION is that we've a surfeit if them in Tottenham!
