Tue 10 July steam locomotive at Harringay 11ish - for RAF 100 flypast at 1300, The Mall

Due to pass Harringay at 1100.

This day trip from Lincoln to Kings Cross, for the RAF 100 celebrations in Whitehall was intended for 'Tornado' with its RAF links, but which is not yet ready following the mechanical failure back in April.

Instead the loco will be 'Union of South Africa', one of Gresley's streamlined A4 class, on one of its last runs before it is permanently retired. In view of the fire risk it will be assisted (all right, pushed) by a diesel loco so it won't be the most spectacular of sights. The return is diesel hauled.
