No.11: Thou shalt not scatter Latin tags through thy Decalogue like birdseed for gullible pigeons when thou knowest not the Latin for Straw man (homo stramenticius or fallacia hominis stramenticii, since you ask) nor yet for Begging the Question (Petitio principii), not to mention the populist bubble of Bandwagon fallacy (quadrigarii vatum fallacia); nor shalt thou dare cite Post hoc outwith its essential complement, ergo propter hoc; but, over and above all these grievous sins against the Gods of Logic and Latin, who would wish to compound self-injury with ignorant self-insult by citing the barbarism Ad ignorantum when he clearly meaneth to warn the even more ignorant against the perils of being entrammelled in the toils and fallacious claims of Ad ignoriantiam ?

Now I know why the Roman Empire fell. They couldn't agree on the correct way to say "Please don't run me through with a sword"
