Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

A Special Thank You to Alex Fraser, Tree & Nature Conservation Manager, Haringey Council

Many Falkland Road residents were truly pleased to have over 12 street trees planted in the 2015 planting season. To our dismay, 6 of the new trees were vandalised and snapped in half.

Alex Fraser sympathised and offered to replace the trees in the 2016 planting season if they did not recover. Many will have noticed that half died and the rest looked pretty sad to say the least.

On behalf of Falkland Road residents, I wish to extend our sincere thanks that in spite of the challenges departments such as yours face and our road not being on the planting register for this year, you replaced all 6. They look wonderful.

Thank you Alex.

Yes, thank you.

In the meantime, Falkland Road has had a lot of rubbish dumped on it in the last few days  This took 3 days to be got rid of and its even worse today

I'd like very much to second what Nick has said and also to add that Alex's helpfulness and dedication was one of the things which made my time on the Council so rewarding.

I've always found Alex helpful and supportive with both the Tree Trust for Haringey, and the Haringey Tree Wardens-and don't forget his work with allotments!
