Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Those of you who pass by the bottom end of Allison Road may have noticed that the mini-pocket-park by the New River Sign had got a bit neglected of late.

This week the 'park' had something of a makeover, thanks largely to Ian Sygrave of Burgoyne Road and Shefik Mehmet of Cheriee Hair Salon. The two spritely young lads beavered away through the hottest temperatures this year to really smarten things up.

Thanks are also due to Rev Adedayo Ige and his church volunteers for cutting back the limes that line the southern boundary of the church.

Excellent, it needed it!
Yes, I saw this today and thought what a good job had been made of it. Well done to all!
With a few dab hands anything is possible, if you see a dry plant about please carry an empty drink bottle with water and water as you walk. Good job folks. The plants you see about the Ladder, are funded either by residents or traders, bar the trees.

Looks great, although now the trees have been cut back so much the kids who go to the nursery in the church aren't able to use the garden so much because there's no shade.

Could we alternate pollarding every other Lime Tree next time? or time future pollarding to provide adequate shade for the children. It's worth discussing now, to plan next time around.
