LBC say no buses at all ... The T4L site says they will start again once roads have been treated and conditions are safer. See here.

I did see some gritters down our road last night, but they weren't very generous with the grit!

Pretty though!!
No busses, Piccadilly line a mess, trains have severe delays - mind you, that was an hour ago, it could be worse now.
I haven't seen any buses. I've been up to Manor House, stood on the platform for 15 minutes and couldn't get on the 2 trains that came in.
Thanks A.

Hewitt seems to be virgin snow right now. Nothing moving, just pedestrians. All very magical.
No buses, and the tfl websit is down (for me)
Am I allowed to 'smile gently' when I hear about this sort of problem.. The Buses are not running because they are not fitted with winter tyres.. In other places where snow is a more common occurrence, that is the norm..

Perhaps fitting 10% of the fleet with winter tyres would ease the situation..

BTW, here it is illegal to drive in snow without winter tyres.. most cars are fitted in October and keep them until April..
No, Steve; smiling gently would be considered as smug! ;o)
The weather people have been talking about a "major snow event" since Thursday, so we were warned. I guess 5 days isn't enough time to prepare.

The grit lorries have been up and down Endymoin Rd a couple of times this morning so they are trying to clear the roads.
Even with five day's notice, you can't clear snow until it has fallen. They seem to be doing a good job IMHO :-)

I've seen trains heading towards Finsbury Park.
Thanks guys - sounds like a delight!

Here's hoping my client won't insist on dragging me out to Brentford then!
Brentfrod... did you mean Brentfost of Brentfrozen?
Mmm.........the day I add a post without a single typo..............aaaah, I can dream...........
