Appeal for stewards for next Compost Giveaway 18th October 2015

Message from Sustainable Haringey:

You probably know that one of our most popular events is the bi-annual Haringey Compost Giveaway held in Alexandra Park. Similar events were organised by the Council until 2010 but since then they have been run by En10ergy and Sustainable Haringey - see the wonderful film of our first Compost Giveaway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDwn0If4ixI  Now we get 28 tonnes of compost (two truck-loads). The compost is made at the London Waste Eco Park from our garden and food waste. People load their own compost so they have to bring shovels and strong bags.

We must have six stewards on duty from 10am to 3pm (to control vehicle traffic, share out wheelbarrows, give advice, etc.). Please volunteer to do an hour or two (it doesn’t stop you getting your own compost).
