Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Application for 1st floor stairs at rear of ladder property. Poor planning precedent?

I've just seen this planning application for a nearby house on the ladder:

http://www.planningservices.haringey.gov.uk/portal/servlets/Applica...

19 Cavendish Road

"Construction of external staircase from first floor of rear elevation to garden level and replacement of first floor window with door"

Can I object even though I'm not an immediate neighbour?  It seems to set a really bad precedent.

Stairs to the garden from a first floor flat isn't that uncommon on the Ladder.
Apologies, didn't answer your question. Agree with Pamish; anyone can object.
No worries, thanks.

Anyone can comment from anywhere.  eg visitors to Seven Sisters may like to comment on the plans for FagPacket Tower at Apex House, even if they will not be living directly under the bloody thing.

Thanks.
I'm not sure I understand why you think this is such a bad idea but you're perfectly entitled to raise an objection.

It's true that anyone can object, but the weight given to your opinion will decrease in proportion to the degree to which you're directly affected. Beyond this, the objections that seem to carry the most weight are those made with reference to Haringey's own planning policy.

Of course you can object. But I'd be interested to know why you would, to what is essentially a fire escape from the first floor.
